What excites you most about your Genius hour project?
What excites me most about this project, is the fact that I can go out and eat healthy and try different ways to eat the nutritious foods. Also, I love that I can try to teach kids how to eat the right foods. Staying healthy is long term goal for me, and I want it to be a goal for others as well. There are so many cool and fun ways you do to keep a healthy meal plan. I'm going to research the different ways that you can do so.
What concerns you most about your genius hour project?
What concerns me most about this project, is that I wont be able to keep up with eating healthy foods. I feel that I would lose track on keeping a daily plan. Also, I'm worried that when I present my project to kids, that they won't get anything out of it. I want the kids to take the information I give them and use it in their lives. I want to be healthy and watch for the sugary foods. I do have a sweet tooth, so it will be a struggle trying to keep off the candy and desserts.
What progress have you made so far with your project?
So far with my project, I have been cutting down on soft drinks. I have been drinking more milk and water. At night, I would usually go have dessert, but lately for the past week I have been saying "no" to desserts. Also trying to get more sleep than I usually do. I wake up and try to have a good breakfast to start my day. Finally, in between meals, I try to eat healthier snack than I normally would eat. Such as bagels, apples, granola bars, ect.
